There was a small surprise when twenty fourth ranked CzechOlomoucko (2-2) beat on the road their close opponent Latvian Rigas Z. (3-3) 87-81 on Wednesday. Olomoucko outrebounded Rigas Z. 38-27 including 26 on the defensive glass. American guard Jaren Holmes (193-1998, college: Iowa St., agency: One Motive Sports) notched 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and Kobe Elvis supported him with 24 points. Even 26 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists by Verners Kohs (203-1997) did not help to save the game for Rigas Z. . Forward Janis Berzins (201-1993) added 14 points for lost side. Rigas Z.'s coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Olomoucko moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Bristol Flyers and TalTech. Rigas Z. lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the twenty first position with three games lost.
